A message from the President

“Welcome to our website which I am sure many of you will find both informative and interesting.

 

Some of you will already know that the League Council has organised Saturday football for the local community at the real “Grass Roots” level for over 100 years, during which time many members both past and present have given long and dedicated service.

 

I sincerely hope this project will stimulate a number of new applications for seasons to come.

The Gravesend Football League is managed by the League Council, this is made up of officers and council members.  The officers’ roles are to manage the day to day  functions and the council is there to ratify decisions made.

 

All roles are voluntary and open for re-election at the end of the season.  All of the League Council have either play/played or been involved with clubs, this means that  we understand local football.

 

 

The role of the league is to promote football at the real “grass roots” level and ensure that Gravesend maintains a competitive structure for the game of football.
