John Ripley-Impressionist Singer . For the last twelve years I have been performing as an impressionist singer and comedian. My repertoire includes Al Jolson, Howard Keel, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Tom Jones amongst others. Theo Squire is my brilliant piano accompanist that provides the music. I have made a number of cabaret appearances including performing at the Jewish Care night in the Grosvenor Hotel, London. My stage appearances include the Connaught Theatre, Worthing and the Theatre Royal, Brighton. I was featured as Max Miller in the channel 4 programme “Wakey Wakey” in 2005.
My favourite character is Max Miller and I regularly perform for the Max Miller appreciation society who have made me a n honorary member.

About John Ripley I spent twelve years playing for Dartford and scored 220 goals. I was later player/manager and coach for Hastings United in the Southern League. I also played in the Gravesend League for many seasons and received the Player of the Year award in 1978. I also managed Gravesend Gunners and Southfleet Rams on Sundays. |
